Version 0.2 is out!
Well, would you look at that. Who would have thought that I'm still working on this game! Not only I am, I have made quite some progress since the last build. The most noticeable change is the new fighter 3D model which if you follow me on Twitter, I already posted a sneak peek of:
Yes, I'm still working on Single Fighter. Today, I just finished the robot's 3D model. It's also rigged and everything! All I need to do now are the textures and I'm going to take the opportunity to learn how to use Substance Painter. In fact, why don't you take a sneak peek? pic.twitter.com/EiLatqzTdD<script async="" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

(pardon me for the crappy rendering, I just wanted to get this out ASAP)
The new Fighter model now features a more humanoid shape with ball joints, one hand on the left arm and an arm cannon on the right. Plus, the new Fighter has 3 actions: Idle, walking and punching.
Since this game can be described as a "super smash bros. clone" I used the animations from the game for reference. Mainly from Zero Suit Samus (my favorite character in the game) and Ness. They aren't exactly the best in the world, but I only made these as a test. I recently finished the 3D modelling and I just wanted to test out if the rig was working all right. Now, I'll work on texturing the fighter and making the animations.
Oh, there's also a start menu but who cares about that? It's no biggie at all, just click on the start button or press the punch button on your joystick.
I suppose this is it for now. I would post separate videos with the animations but then, they're all already in the game! So why don't you go check it out?
Until next time!
